This Privacy Policy describes how DuoSeat LLC (“DuoSeat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the DuoSeat mobile application (“Service”). 1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: Name, Apple-provided email, region/state selection, profile details.
  • User-Generated Content: Invites, profile text, ratings, messages, and other submissions.
  • Technical Data: Device type, operating system, IP address, app activity logs, crash analytics.
  • Transactional Data: Purchase confirmations from Apple. DuoSeat does NOT receive or store credit card data.
  • Safety Reports: Flags, complaints, or conduct reports submitted by Users.

We do NOT collect:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Precise GPS location (unless implemented in future updates)
  • Access to contacts, photos, or messages on your device
  • Biometric identifiers
  • Payment card numbers

2. How We Use Information

We use information for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Operating and improving the Service
  • Displaying invites and event-related content
  • Supporting safety tools, reporting, and moderation
  • Managing accounts, identity, and authentication
  • Processing in-app purchases via Apple

  • Preventing fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

We process User information on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity: To operate DuoSeat and provide core features.

Data is stored securely via:

  • Apple systems (authentication and account identity)
  • Google Firebase/Firestore (invite and activity data)

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share information only under these circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: Apple, Firebase, and infrastructure partners.
  • To Comply with Law: Court orders, subpoenas, or lawful government requests.
  • To Protect Safety: Investigating fraud, threats, or abusive behavior.
  • With Other Users: When you voluntarily post invites or communicate through the Service.

DuoSeat does not share personal information with advertisers or sell User data under any circumstances.

6. Safety & Reporting

Users may report misconduct or concerning behavior. DuoSeat may review reports but does not guarantee resolution or prevention of harmful activity. Reporting does not create a duty for DuoSeat to monitor or intervene.

7. Children’s Privacy

DuoSeat is intended only for individuals 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover unauthorized minor accounts, they will be deleted.

8. Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to operate the Service and enforce our policies. Users may request account deletion, after which data may be retained only as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

You may request:

  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal requirements)
